Obvious advice here but don't be suprised if, while traveling as a lone guy or with one or two buddies, you get a staff member at an international airport asking you questions about your trip. This is happening in Colombia now and could happen anywhere. The questions may seem benign about your itinerary, but they are really looking to see if your visit involved drugs or sex tourism. Colombia is really cracking down on sex tourism. In the major cities of Medellin, Cartagena, and Bogota, most hotels and AirBnBs won't even allow local girls to visit your room.
